Germany struggles to bring infection rates down
Chancellor Angela Merkel and Germany s state premiers are preparing to further tighten Covid-19 restrictions beyond January. Previous measures have only led to a slight decline in infection rates, and concern is growing over three new and likely more infectious strains of the virus.
