Nancy L. Cohen, 88, of Newville, formerly of Altoona and Washington County, Pa., passed away March 22, 2021, at Green Ridge Village Senior Living, Newville. She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charlotte E. and Lawrence F. Haupt.
Nancy grew up in Altoona and graduated from Altoona High School in 1950.
She married Merel Cox, and they divorced in August 1979. She then married David Cohen, who passed away in September 1988.
Nancy graduated from California (PA) State College in 1976, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. She worked for the Washington County Area Agency on Aging before beginning her career with the PA Department of Welfare, from where she retired in 1996.
