24-year-old Gerie Acevedo, of the South End, identified as victim in fatal Boston stabbing

Authorities in Boston have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in the South End that occurred on Friday as 24-year-old Gerie Acevedo.
At roughly 8:38 p.m. on May 14, Boston police officers responded to a radio call about a person stabbed in the area of West Newton Street and Shawmut Avenue in Boston, Boston police said on Monday.
When police arrived, they found a man, later identified as Acevedo, of the South End, suffering from a stab wound, they said.
Acevedo was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
