on all of this later on. we re separately learning that the bond order that the president had to sign in order to leave the courthouse states that he had no contact with any witnesses in this case, including walt nauta, that was indicted. the former body man for the president who was helping him move boxes around. some say that he was this co conspirator that hatched this plan to hide that from authorities. so much we don t know. this much we do. the former president went ahead and signed that bond order about a half an hour ago. let s get the latest from mark meredith in miami. he takes a look at what went down just a few minutes ago. hi, mark. neil, good afternoon to you. a historic day. these proceedings will continue long after this arraignment hearing wrapped up in the last few minutes. as we mentioned, the former president pleading not guilty. the justice department under the special counsel last charged him with that he conspired to hide these classified documents as
byte is and that answer. with us this morning we have mike barnacle, mara gay, georgeway and staff writer david from. a lot going on this morning. we start with that historic decision. the colorado supreme court has ruled donald trump is disqualify ed from holding office again after determining he engaged in insurrection on january 6th, 2021. the fourth ruling keeps the former president off the state s presidential primary lot next year. the court stayed its decision until january 4th to allow for any further appeals, and the trump team is already vowing they will be doing just that. but the fourth is just one day before the deadline for the state to print its presidential primary ballots. colorado secretary of state discussed the tight timeline in an interview last night on msnbc. if they take the case, we will make clear to the court that the deadlines and the timelines. the bigger thing is if the court does not take the case, as of january 5th, if the u.s. supreme court
and the most important thing is, it doesn t have to be absolutely true, it has to be supportable. they have to prove that i was deliberately lying, which i wasn t. you know, it s so fascinating about what he just did there. yeah, it s good stuff. good stuff. it is as if he read david french s column yesterday in the new york times talking about maga man. mm-hmm. and what it takes to be a maga man. he mentioned rudy giuliani as the prime example but listed mark meadows, kari lake, listed a number of other people who may have all done different things in the past, may have all had different backgrounds, different political ideologies, but the key was once they became infected by trump, there were two things you had to do. yeah. again, david french wrote this before rudy went on and lied again last night. he said, number one, you have to lie. the key is, if you re going to follow donald trump, if you re going to be a part of donald trump s team, you ve got to be
to the courthouse. he is being closely guarded by the secret service. this is a pretty fluid situation, but here s what we know so far. former president expected to get fingerprinted once he s inside the courthouse. it remains unclear if you will have a mug shot taken. they have been going back-and-forth on that today. we do understand he will not be handcuffed. remember, i told you on tucker couple nights ago that no, the secret service would decide the tone of all of this. the tone would include whether to handcuff him which is a completely different visual for the nation to see or not. he will not be handcuffed. he will then be escorted to the 15th floor of the main courthouse where the hearing will take place. it s expected to last less than 30 minutes. video cameras have been banned from the courtroom today but there will be some still photographs taken. during the arraignment, the indictment will be unsealed, and those charges will finally be revealed, although andy mcc
