Law & Order: Organized Crime recap: Season 1 finale, Forget It, Jake; It s Chinatown

Instead of cases of the week, there would be one season-long investigation. The show, from Dick Wolf, Ilene Chaiken, and Matt Olmstead, wouldn’t simply lionize the NYPD, as so many cop shows (including much of Wolf’s oeuvre) have for much of the last four decades. More specifically, Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a walking, talking civil rights violation, would realize that his way of doing things would no longer be tolerated. This time, there would be checks and balances instead of just an exasperated speech by Captain Donald Cragen (Dann Florek) or solemn head shake from Detective (now Captain) Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

New York Film Premiere of THE MAN WHO WANTED TO FLY to be Screened by Irish Repertory Theatre The Man Who Wanted to Fly tells the irresistible story of 80-something bachelor farmer Bobby Coote from Cavan who has had a lifelong dream to fly a plane.by BWW News Desk Irish Repertory Theatre announced today that they will host virtual screenings of the New York film premiere of The Man Who Wanted to Fly. Directed by Frank Shouldice and produced by Trisha Canning and Cormac Hargaden of Loosehorse Productions, The Man Who Wanted to Fly will be screened online on Tuesday May 25 at 7pm ET and Wednesday May 26 at 2pm & 7pm ET.
