How do you get in touch with the Department of Communications to get added to the National Broadband Plan? Our broadband speed is just below 30Mbs, but I’ve tried contacting National Broadband Ireland and they say they don’t decide who goes on it. I emailed the department at broadband@decc.gov.ie several times since February and haven’t had any response. I’ve now resorted to asking local councillors to help. I’ve checked the eircode you provided in your submission (as I’m sure you have done on the network map tool on nbi.ie); both you and the houses around you are listed as not being in the ‘intervention area’. As you’re clearly aware, this would only be because the department has decided that there is at least one broadband operator that has a service available to your home of at least 30Mbs, the cut-off criteria to be considered for the state-subsidised National B
