JOPLIN, Mo. â Inside the new Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, visitors will find an alabaster chapel wall.
Itâs one of the only pieces of St. Johnâs Regional Medical Center that was spared by the storm in 2011.

The monstrous winds were so strong they twisted the hospital on its foundation.
âIt was worse than you see in movies,â Ashley Miller, who was a nurse on the 7th floor of the hospital, told 41 Action News in 2011.

The Henry County government has filled a couple of important seats recently, and it turned into a game of musical chairs for Bobby Nolan.
Nolan had been the county veterans service officer since 2006, until he recently decided to take the job as manager of the Henry County Airport.
As a result, thereâs a new veterans service officer now. Heâs Jon Bolding, a Henry County native who spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.
The chain of events began with the retirement of Don Davenport as airport manager because of ongoing health issues. Davenport had overseen the airport since 1999.

HARRISBURG, Pa. Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar presided over the 59th Pennsylvania Electoral College meeting at noon Monday, during which the commonwealth’s 20 electors unanimously voted for Joseph R. Biden for president and Kamala D. Harris for vice president of the United States, in accordance with Pennsylvania’s popular vote results in the Nov. 3 election.
Boockvar s office made the official announcement in a press release after the votes were cast.
