A London architect and former chair of the downtown business association has died after a short battle with cancer.
Gerald Gallacher, 49, was a principal at Nicholson Sheffield Architects. His business partner, Jim Sheffield, said he was a family man, a devoted volunteer and a force for good in London.

“Our office looks like a florist shop. It just speaks to what a great person he was and how many lives he touched,” Sheffield said.
