Raleigh, N.C. A Raleigh man with a history of lying to authorities was charged Sunday with making a bogus 911 call.
Christian Gerald Desgroux, 60, is accused of calling 911 at about 8 a.m. Sunday to report an injured, unconscious person in a car on Old Creedmoor Road. Deputies who went to the area found a car but nobody inside. When they checked on the car s owner, they found that person to be fine.
Investigators determined the call was made from a car not far from the Old Creedmoor Road location where deputies responded. They identified Desgroux as the caller, although he denied calling 911, authorities said.
