Dog kennels are bursting at the seams as pet owners forced to give up their furry friends struggle with risings costs of living. Despite a rise in cat and kitten adoptions, dog adoptions are down by over 50 per cent.
The current facility on Tenth Line was built in 2007 and is 6,000 square feet. It was designed for 500 animals. Last year alone, the organization took in 1,400 homeless animals and facilitated nearly 1,200 adoptions.
