SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WTVM) - Just a mile or two away from downtown Americus, Georgia is Phoebe Sumter Medical Centerâs new vaccination clinic.
The new vaccination clinic is being held at the Georgia National Guard Armory on Adderton Street. Phoebe Sumter Medical Center is conducting the vaccines says with this new facility, they can vaccinate up to 400 people a day.
While originally they were providing vaccines at their hospital location, organizers felt like their space wasnât allowing many more people in to get the vaccine.

Ellis Eskew joined Alabama News Network in October 2012. She anchors Alabama News Network at 11 a.m., Noon, 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. With nearly 20 years of experience in the TV news business, Ellis has held many different jobs both in front of and behind the camera.
She got her start in TV in her hometown of Dalton, Georgia. From there, she went on to report for stations in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama, where she was anchor/producer for the FOX affiliate.
Ellis graduated from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, with a degree in Mass Communications/Broadcast Journalism. Her senior year, she interned at CNN in Atlanta.
