After campaigning for a rule change to return to the original intent of a staffing bill affecting certified dementia care communities, senior living industry experts said they are “disappointed” that Georgia chose not to finalize the change.
The top five states for direct care workers are Washington (No. 1), Rhode Island, Washington, DC, Maine and New Jersey, whereas the states with the “most opportunity for improvement” are Texas (No. 51), Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and North Carolina, according to a new online tool from PHI.
