FLEMING-NEON, Ky. – It was a neighbor’s phone call that alerted Thelma Hall to the flash flood ravaging Fleming-Neon, a tiny community near the Kentucky-Virginia border.
About 50 volunteers from Georgia are heading to eastern Kentucky to lend a hand with clean-up and recovery after the deadly floods devastated the region.
