In February 2021, Sydney played host to a new live musical experience named ‘Drummer Queens’. The production sought to provide an experience leaving audiences “immersed in the powerfully irresistible rhythms” presented by the shows all-female cast and “in awe of their skill and inspired by the joy and energy”. Over the past few months, the show has gone on the road, commencing a tour that will take the cast to major capital cities and regional venues between now and mid-September.

Australia get ready - the DRUMMER QUEENS have announced brand-new shows in venues across Australia following on from the hugely successful Sydney season.
Sydney audiences were wowed by the stunning staging and world-class percussionists as DRUMMER QUEENS delivered a live musical experience like they d never seen before. Audiences were amazed by the powerfully irresistible rhythms of this remarkable all-female cast, in awe of their skill and inspired by the joy and energy of this game-changing theatrical production. In addition to Melbourne and Brisbane, the Queens are bringing this must-see original Australian theatrical experience to Wollongong, Perth, Albany, Mandurah, Bunbury, Canberra and Adelaide.
Matherville, Illinois (Quad-City Times) Evelyn Weakley remembers going with her family to deliver cards to senior living homes when she was little.
“They were really happy when they saw the cards, that made me happy,” the sixth grade student said. “I wanted to do this because I wanted them to be happy like that.”
Weakley is a student at Matherville Intermediate school. The 6th grade class answered the call when Senator Neil Anderson, 36th District Illinois, requested schools participate in a Valentine’s for Seniors card drive he hosted.
“I thought this would be a great opportunity for my English students… I was overjoyed with how many cards we made,” said 6th grade Matherville teacher Elisabeth Tomlin.
