Midyear budget review, Census redistricting part of loaded Solano supervisors agenda

Midyear budget review, Census redistricting part of loaded Solano supervisors’ agenda FAIRFIELD Solano County supervisors will consider what staff called “significant variances between their working budget and their projection,” when they review the midyear report at Tuesday’s virtual meeting. “The current projected general fund ending balance for June 30, 2021 . . .  is projected to be $36.1 million,” the staff report to the board states. “The projection includes $12 million in unspent general fund contingencies, and a net change of $24.1 million in additional fund balance based on midyear projections.” The net changes include increased revenues of $12.1 million, the majority of which was due to a court decision that changed how counties allocate pass-through revenues and residual taxes. There was $12 million in decreased expenditures as well, a staff report to the board states.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with stalking and obscene sexual display after a series of Peeping Tom and indecent exposures incidents in the Georgetown Village community in Woodbridge. Police say they have connected the suspect, Rees Amponsa Agyeman of no fixed address, to at least three incidents and are looking into at least two more. Following an incident Friday, Dec. 18 in which a homeowner caught a stranger looking through the front window of a home on Wetherburn Court around 2:40 a.m., police have been called to two other similar crimes in that same area. On Sunday at 7:30 p.m., a 45-year-old woman reported that she looked out her sliding glass door into the backyard and saw a stranger exposing himself, Prince William County police spokeswoman Renee Carr said. The man made inappropriate gestures before fleeing on foot. No physical contact was made between the stranger and the victim.
