During a normal year, birthday celebrations are marked by get-togethers, complete with balloons, singing and cake. But, 2020 is anything but normal.
On Thursday, for Rollingwood’s 65th birthday, the city is honoring its incorporation COVID-style, giving residents the opportunity to log onto its website from 6-7 p.m. to hear from the city’s leaders, honor nominees for the Spirit of Rollingwood Citizenship Awards and enjoy the sounds of local musicians.
Residents were invited to submit family video renditions of “Happy Birthday” to be shared at the event. In lieu of birthday cake, celebrants are treated to a bundtlet from local retailer Nothing Bundt Cakes in the Shops at Mira Vista.
