Playa at the Pier: New rooftop bar coming to Skegness this summer
One of three new attractions coming this year
The new bar will have pool pods, meaning you can dip your toes in the water while having a drink.
The new owners of Skegness Pier are planning for a big summer and announced plans for a pop-up rooftop bar venue.
The Playa at the Pier pop-up venue will be the first new build resort of its kind in Skegness, and will be located on the pier deck.
Promoted as “the ultimate summer experience”, there will be live music, costume acts and even pool pods with live saxophone players to create an atmosphere while enjoying a drink on the coast.

The duo, along with Nikos’ wife Dimitra, worked in tavernas in their home city of Athens in Greece before moving to Hull in 2012.
They have traded at food festivals across the UK, including in Lincoln, for over six years and decided they wanted to open a business in the city. They opened Real Greek Food on April 1, which is open Monday to Saturday between 9am-4pm.

A man who targeted multiple ATMs across the country, including in Lincolnshire, and caused over £60,000 worth of damage is now back behind bars after being sentenced to 11 years in prison.
George Tunney, 24, targeted nine ATMs across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire just a few months after being released from prison.
Tunney was charged with conspiracy to cause explosions, conspiracy to burgle, theft and handling stolen goods after the offences committed in January and March 2020. They were all caught on CCTV and showed him using stolen vehicles.
A PROFESSIONAL raider who blew up part of a York petrol station to steal £57,000 from the ATM has been jailed for 11 years. York Crown Court was told staff at the Coop Service station on Great North Way, Nether Poppleton, hid inside fearing for their lives after alerting police. They were concerned sparks from angle grinders used by the gang could set off forecourt petrol tanks. The court heard George Tunney, 24, was part of a York based gang touring Yorkshire and the Midlands blowing up ATMs by igniting gas poured into them. Of six raids carried out in January last year only the York one succeeded, along with three in March after Tunney had been arrested and bailed.
