Finally back in the classroom
North Bergen students have transitioned to hybrid instruction ×
Students at North Bergen High School began rotating back to classrooms on April 26.
Students in the North Bergen School District have returned to their classrooms. While the district planned to initiate hybrid instruction earlier in the year, that shift was repeatedly pushed back in response to pandemic conditions.
Administrators, supervisors, directors, and support staff returned full time on March 1. Teachers and staff returned on March 15.
Ahead of the return, the district had been vaccinating its teachers and education staff. Schools have been outfitted with air purifiers and upgraded temperature screening devices, among other safety protocols.

“Our administrators, supervisors, directors, and support staff have returned to full time workdays on Monday, March 1st. We will be welcoming teachers and staff to teach from the classroom starting Monday, March 15th,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Solter said in an update for parents earlier this month.
“At this time, we are planning for students to return on April 19th with details to be determined on the schedule for the hours and days in the near future.”
A parent survey was due on March 7th asking parents if they planned on sending their children back to school or to continue learning remotely.
