Sydney’s long-awaited LGBTQI museum, Qtopia Sydney is set to officially open its doors to the public on Saturday, February 24.Located at and around the Darlinghurst Police Station (301 Forbes Street), the Qtopia Sydney Campus includes 301 Forbes Street, The Substation, The Bandstand in Green Park, and the Taylor Square Toilet Block.
The Star Observer exhibition, set to open at QTOPIA in February 2024, stands as a testament to the LGBTQIA+ journey across 45 years, showcasing the vibrant, evolving covers that have chronicled this remarkable odyssey.
Sydney-based multi-talented creative George Savoulis has been named Senior Curator for the LGBTQI museum, Qtopia Sydney, which opens in February.As part of the museum’s opening exhibition, Savoulis will curate Where We Are, an exhibit that tells the history of 301 Forbes Street, the site Qtopia Sydney inhabits.
