In the twilight of her years, living in a nursing home she despises, Shipley struggles to come to terms with an unconventional and rebellious life. The Portrait of a Lady: A Tribute to Margaret Laurence is Kohl s one-handed performance of an adaptation written in 1979 by playwright and novelist George Ryga (1932-1987).
