The shocking ways wild animals use electricity From the electric eel to the echidna, many animals rely on electric currents to communicate, find prey, and defend themselves. The masts of yachts moored on the River Hamble are a common sight for those travelling on Southampton Water, marking the centrepiece of British yachting. In total, five ravers have been jailed for a combined 60 weeks. Around 500 to 700 people gathered for a party lasting almost 24 hours at Beeches Industrial Estate, Yate. The event started at around 10pm, but police were not able to disperse people until 2pm the next day because of the sheer size of the initial gathering.
