Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi, the wife of former Presidential candidate and Kyaddondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has been seen checking in at Entebbe International airport destined for the United States.
Immediately after the January 14th Presidential elections, the Kyagulanyi’s were placed under a water tight house arrest. At some point Barbra Itungo tried to walk out and harvest some food from the kitchen garden but heavily armed security personnel forced her back inside.
The couple through their contacts outside claimed they were badly starving. The poll results were announced while the couple was inside their house.

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Ugandan main opposition leader, Bobi Wine Monday filed a suit at the country’s Supreme Court, challenging in last month’s poll.
Wine party’s – National Unity Platform (NUP) lawyer, George Musisi, said his client was seeking cancellation of the results of January Presidential election in which the incumbent, Yoweri Museveni was declared as the winner.
The former guerrilla leader, who has led the East African country since 1986, was declared winner of the January 14, 2021 election, with 59 per cent of the votes, with Wine trailing behind, with 35 per cent of the total valid votes.
“We want the poll cancelled and repeated,’’ the NUP Lawyer restated.
Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi who is commonly referred to as Bobi Wine has filed a petition at the Supreme Court in Kampala seeking to cancel President Yoweri Museveniâs recent electoral victory.
The countryâs electoral commission declared Museveni, who has been in power for the past three and a half decades, winner of the January 14 election after he garnered 59% of the vote. Bobi Wine scooped 39%.
âWe want the poll cancelled and repeated,â said George Musisi, lawyer for Bobi Wineâs National Unity Platform (NUP), told local media.
Wine, 38, a pop star and lawmaker, has consistently rejected the results and said he believed his victory was stolen.
