Top 5 home sales in May: Cherry Hills Village properties take two spots

A Cherry Hills Village home sold for the first time in 28 years in May, and its $4.9 million price tag was top among local residential sales that month.
The 12,775-square-foot secluded brick mansion at 1620 E. Layton Drive sits on 2.6 acres with a private gated driveway near a path that leads to Woody Hollow Horse Park, according to the listing.
It was purchased by Amelia and Matt Hayden, according to public records. Last August, the couple sold a different home, at 4101 S. Colorado Blvd. in Cherry Hills Village, which was the top local sale that month.
