We all have had more than our share of stress this year. However, the real feeling of Christmas joy came to our house on Jerome Avenue when we were suddenly brought to our front deck by the sounds of sirens and the lights of many, many police cars and fire trucks. What an uplifting happening as the Mystic Christmas parade passed by our house on this very cold winter night.
Yes, there is a Santa Claus! Hats off to the outstanding firefighters, police officers and volunteers who shared their precious time with our community. It truly was a joyous experience. Merry Christmas to you all.
