Schaumburg trustees have approved the replacement of three large single-family home lots with an eight-building, 35-unit townhouse development between Michaels Funeral Home and Christ Community Mennonite Church on South Roselle Road.
The end of candidate filing for the Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Palatine village board races Monday determined none will require a Feb. 28 primary, but only Palatine is unquestionably free of a contested April 4 election as well.
Schaumburg Mayor Tom Dailly could face a challenge in his reelection bid, while in Hoffman Estates, retired police lieutenant and former mayoral candidate Mark Mueller was the only non-incumbent to file Monday to run for a village trustee position.
