They are trying to cover the entrances and exits. They are partnering with the fire department, paramedics or there may be paramedics with the s. W. A. T. Team. They will use dogs to go through the mall and search for secondary or bombing devices. They will also try to screen the people leaving the mall to make sure there is no accomplice with the individual. They will be very careful they are also trying to build a criminal case as they go through this process. At this point, the tanforan mall is still closed off to the Public Assembly officers conducting a search inside, securing the scene looking for evidence trying to determine if in fact a gunman either of the gunman if there are multiple gunmen could possibly be somewhere inside.
