When Heather Knight and I talked about starting a Chronicle book club, there was a discussion whether this would be a scholarly endeavor, or the kind of book club where people feel free to have a drink, be social and go off on tangents.
It was a very quick discussion.
We’re happy to announce that the Total SF Book Club has recruited Drinks with Nick founder Nick Petrulakis, who will make an official cocktail for each book. He starts incredibly strong for our first event May 20 with “Pot Shot,” a cannabis-infused chocolate Jell-O shot inspired by “Home Baked,” Alia Volz’ memoir about her marijuana brownie-baking family in San Francisco.
