Former Town boss George Burley has revealed that relegation meant that he faced a 50% pay cut last summer. The Blues are still paying their sacked manager but the two sides are currently negotiating a settlement.
Town are appealing against yesterday s Football League tribunal which ordered them to pay £50,000 to Kieron Dyer. The money was part of Dyer s last signing on fee agreed when he signed his last contract and still due to his as he made no formal transfer request. The club continue to argue otherwise. A club statement said We are disappointed at the tribunal s verdict which we do not, and because of what we know cannot, accept. We intend to lodge an appeal.
