West Island mayors comment on tough new residential pool regs

The Quebec government has tightened security measures around all residential pools, whether they be new or beneficiary of acquired rights, in order to reduce the risk of children drowning. As of July 1, new rules came into effect and apply to all residential swimming pools, regardless of their date of installation. “All Dorval pool owners affected by these new regulations must take note of the changes to make sure that their installation is up to code,” a statement released by the City of Dorval reads. “I support the decision as it will help save lives, the number of deaths have not gone down.
