All sorts: Mrs. Beck in the Penrod block of Carson street offers for sale a ranch containing ten acres of land, a two-story house, kitchen, sheds and barns. It is situated near the Carson race track on Warm Springs Road. Included are a span of fine mules, a wagon, and a large stock of dry and millinery goods.
A St. Patrick’s Day Ball will be given at Genoa to which the public is cordially invited.

Tall bonnets: Communications have been received at the Appeal regarding tall bonnets being worn by women at theatre. In response the gentleman suggested that they secure the front seats and wear stovepipe hats during the performance. This would allow the ladies to see how annoying it is to have their line of sight obstructed.
