ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you have been selected and sworn as the jury to try the case of the state of florida versus casey marie anthony. it is time to tell the story of a little girl named caylee. everyone wants to know what happened. the answer is actually relatively simple. he never was missing. she never was missing. caylee anthony died june 16th, 2008 when she drowned in her family s swimming pool. this family must keep itself s quiet. it all began keep its, secrets quiet. it began when her father came into her room and began to touch her inappropriately. and it escalated and it escalated. on the stand george anthony accused baez of badgering him. i m trying to do the best i
privilege. greta: one of the things there s been a lot of talk about the fact that as soon as the verdict was read that george and cindy anthony left the courtroom. should we read anything into that? any reason they left the courtroom abruptly? you are right. if you look back a couple seconds earlier, the court administrator who was very kind to my client and myself. you can see her leaning over and the deputies saying now would be a good time to leave. for security purposes, certainly we are going to take the advice of law enforcement and takeoff when they tell us to. greta: no one should read they had any reaction to the verdict. by the way, how do they feel about this verdict?

captured on video at a bank of america. no one knows where caylee is. reporter: meanwhile, cindy anthony, caylee s grandmother, was trying desperately to see the little girl. a prosecution says that casey avoided her, putting her off with an escalating series of lies about a fictitious job, made-up locations and a nanny that never existed. cindy anthony, pressing her daughter, wants to know where caylee anthony is. caylee, the prosecution says, was already dead. you will learn that three pieces of overlapping duct tape covered the nose and mouth of caylee anthony. the prosecution then spells out the motive. caylee s death allowed casey anthony to live the good life. at least for those 31 days. everyone wants to know what happened.
