LAND O LAKES, Fla. - Former FBI agent, police officer, and hostage negotiator George Agovino has seen the good and the not so good. Seeing the worst times in people’s lives makes you appreciate what it is you re going to do and what you re doing, he told FOX 13 News.
Agovino s attitude doesn t exactly match up to the resume. It’s coming to work with a smile. When I had to be serious, I was serious. Like I told you, they d always say, ‘Why don t you go be a firefighter, everyone loves a firefighter.’ I was like, great, you know, Agovino said.

A Pasco County organization that helps kids in foster care is undertaking a new project to make sure kids need are taken care of and have a safe place to go.
âWe give them whatever they need to keep surviving,â Fostering Change Foster Closet founder George Agovino said.
âFostering change is an organization that helps anybody in the community, not even our community, whoever needs it,â he said.
But the organization particularly focuses on kids in foster care who have nothing. They can come to Fostering Change and get anything from clothes to diapers and even prom dresses for free.
