Recent heightened solar activity, marked by increased sunspots and frequent coronal mass ejections (CMEs), presents a potential collision between these CMEs and Earth. These massive CMEs, ejecting billions of tons of material at speeds up to 3000 km/s, originate from the Sun s core. They can cause disruptions termed geomagnetic storms, graded on a G1 to G5 scale. Although a G1 storm poses minimal direct threats to life, it may impact power grids, GPS, and satellite operations.
