British audio brand
Bowers & Wilkins has unveiled two True Wireless headphones, the PI7 and PI5, designed to deliver audio âthe way it is meant to be heard, and as the artist intended it.â The more expensive $399 PI7 headphones (pictured below) feature hi-res 24-bit audio processing in each earbud and âdual hybrid-driveâ units, which the company says work like high-performance speakers. Adaptive noise cancellation regulates levels in real time based on the listenerâs surroundings. The PI7âs included B&W Smartcase charges the device while on-the-go, and retransmits audio wirelessly and directly to the âphones (for example, from an in-flight entertainment system).

Bowers & Wilkins has updated its music app for all Formation-enabled products, including the Formation Bar sound bar and Formation Bass subwoofer. The company is building out the number of music streaming services accessible to owners of products in the line, and the app will be available in both Android and iOS flavors.
B&W says the new app, known officially as âB&W Music Appâ, will initially offer support for Qobuz, TIDAL, TuneIn, Dash Radio, NTS Radio and SoundCloud with more services coming down the line, as well as high-res content care of Qobuz. It will also aggregate content from each available music service into one interface to access individual tracks, albums, playlists and radio stations.
