Framingham schools Multilingual Director Gen Grieci to retire in June after 40 years of work in public education
FRAMINGHAM After four decades of working in public education, Genoveffa Grieci, the Framingham Public Schools director of multilingual education, will retire on June 30.
Grieci has worked in Framingham for 31 years, dedicating her time to serving the needs of Framingham s linguistically diverse students. She was first a teacher, eventually becoming department chair. For the past 11 years, she s been a Central Office administrator as the assistant director and, later, director of the Office of Multilingual Education.
In a statement, Grieci said her decisions have always been made with the following question, first and foremost: What does it mean for students, families, teachers and school communities?
