Govt takes multiple measures to tackle COVID-19: Maleque

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2021 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today said the government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh has taken multiple measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have been successful in containing the deadly virus as the government has taken different effective initiatives promptly,” he told the COVID-19 vaccination campaign at Kurmitola General Hospital in the city.
The much-anticipated inoculation drive began with vaccinating a nurse at first while some 20 to 25 frontline Covid-19 fighters, including physicians, nurses, health workers, members of law enforcement agencies, army and journalists, will be inoculated on the first day.

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2021 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today asked all concerned to work with utmost sincerity to make the Covid-19 vaccination programme a success.
“We want protection of all from the coronavirus. I want to say to you all to work with sincerity to make the Covid-19 vaccination a success. We want cooperation from all so that everything goes well to this end,” she said, inaugurating the vaccination campaign at the Kurmitola General Hospital here through videoconference from her official Ganabhaban residence this afternoon.
The premier said that the vaccination programme has been taken following all the guidelines and protocols of the World Health organizations (WHO).
