After voters rejected legalizing recreational marijuana in South Dakota during the early November election, it has some city council members curious on whether it will alter plans for Mitchell's medical dispensaries.
A nearby property owner submitted a letter recommending denial of the dispensary, claiming it’s a residential area that should not have a marijuana dispensary despite it being located in a central business district.
