FLINT, MI The Genesee County Health Department will pause usage of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after federal regulators issued a statement recommending to do so “out of an abundance of caution.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a statement Tuesday, April 13. The CDC and FDA are investigating six reported U.S. cases of a rare and severe blood clot in individuals after receiving the vaccine.
More than 6.8 million J&J doses have been administered to date, according to the CDC and FDA.
