Yemen’s Health and Population Minister Qasim Buhaibeh has extolled efforts spent by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) which has inked a fresh deal to implement a series of projects across Yemen.
“It is fortunate for the new Yemeni government that its first day at work will be marked with the signing of tremendous projects undertaken by SDRPY, including the construction of the first phase of the King Salman Medical and Educational City in Mahra,” Buhaibeh told Asharq Al-Awsat.
For the first phase, a hospital with the capacity of over 100 beds will be built. This will be followed by the construction of a university that includes a medicine faculty.
