Cebu Provincial Board Approves P23B Budget for 2024 without Amendments

The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) has approved the proposed P23 billion budget for 2024 without amendments. The budget will now be sent to the Office of the Governor for final approval and to the Department of Budget and Management for appropriations. The proposed budget is 14 percent higher than the approved 2023 budget, with more than half allocated for development funds. Priority projects include road/bridge construction, water system development, and upgrading provincial hospitals. The Provincial Government also allocated funds for various programs such as Sugbo Negosyo, Sugbusog, Sugbo Kahanas, and Tindahan sa Kapitolyo.
