A fully customized and rechargeable battery developed by VARTA provides up to five years of running time based on usage and the highest energy density in the smallest space. Eargo 5 is fully charged within four hours for up to 16 hours of continuous power. The lithium-ion technology of the battery enables faster and easier charging while meeting the highest levels of safety.
The battery specialist VARTA has developed a lithium-ion button cell for hearing aid manufacturer Eargo.
The Eargo 5 hearing aid comes with new functions and an even smaller design and is operated by a button cell based on lithium-ion technology, which, due to its high performance, is able to support future-oriented functions and properties of the hearing aid as well as a long runtime and fast charging.
The rechargeable button cell provides a high energy density and can be charged within four hours. It has been designed to be able to deliver 16 hours of continuous power.
The design of the button cell is matched to the particular shape of the device so that it disappears invisibly in the ear when worn.
