Fair Board interviews manager candidate

The Kansas State Fair Board interviewed a State Fair General Manager candidate on Thursday, Board Chairman Harmon Bliss confirmed.
Bliss said a selection committee narrowed the eight applicants to two, both were interviewed. The committee then made a recommendation to the board.
Bliss wouldn’t say whether the individual was offered the job following the nearly 90-minute interview, and another meeting to vote on hiring was not immediately set. However, he said another meeting likely will be scheduled next week.
Bliss declined to identify the person, but said he was someone with “a significant amount of fair experience.”
