and therefore, i don t think anyone realisicly can expect any sort of advance from the east given these conditions. general kimmett, where does this go? does it remain a stalemate with a partition, does the mission change without people saying it, that the mission changes to take gadhafi out through some covert means? where does this go? the administration still believes that the use of the military is soly for the purpose of the arms embargo, the no-fly zone, that diplomacy is the ultimate goal, which will lead us to the situation where there will be a turnover of regime inside of libya. i think you re either going to end up with a stalemate or need more military force to end the stalemate. at this point it does not appear that diplomacy is making progress. we may have to wait longer for diplomacy to make progress, but
