Maharashtra government informed the Bombay High Court on Thursday that it will “reconsider” its decision regarding the representation sent to the UPSC to reconsider IPS officer Sanjay Pandey's name for the post of state Director General of Police (DGP).
The Bombay High Court has expressed displeasure over the improper manner of functioning of the Maharashtra government while sending a letter to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in November last year, asking it to reconsider Acting state Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Pandey’s name for empanelment for Maharashtra Director General of Police.
Noting that there was no significant rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the city, the Bombay High Court has said it was not inclined to extend stay on demolition of illegal structures and eviction of tenants of such structures beyond October 11, except in the five districts in the state which have witnesses a spike in cases.
