245 police patrols to deploy on Sharjah Roads during Ramadan

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have prepared a comprehensive security plan for Ramadan. Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, chaired a meeting on Sunday evening to define the security preparations of the Sharjah Police General Command for Ramadan. Brigadier General Ahmad Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations, and Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Saeed Al Naour Director General of Central Operations, and a number of specialised directors of departments were present at the meeting. The meeting discussed the readiness of the competent departments, reviewing their security plans designed to enhance preventive and comprehensive security measures at the emirate level, in a way that guarantees the achievement of security and safety.

Sharjah Police conduct drill using drones in different scenarios

Sharjah: The Sharjah Police drones helped ‘foil’ a robbery attempt and ‘save’ a drowning person off a beach in record time. In a simulated exercise on Sunday, March 14, the police carried out a drill to test the efficacy of drones in real-life. The scenarios tested the security readiness and challenges. The drill was held at the Special Task Force headquarters in Al Zahia. A number of police senior officers attended the drill. Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, witnessed scenarios that simulate the real-life scenarios that the drones team were assigned. He pointed out that the most important characteristic of the scenarios were implemented in perfect harmony. The drill demonstrated the capabilities of the team and innovative modern technologies to deal with different events.

COVID-19: Sharjah highlights efforts to support economy

Sharjah: The efforts of the Sharjah Police, the General Administration of Civil Defence and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in supporting the business sector during the COVID-19 pandemic came in for high praise at the virtual Economic Sustainability Forum on Wednesday. The forum was organised by the Sharjah Police General Command, in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) under the slogan “Fifty Years . for a Sustainable Economy”. The meeting focused on ways to further improve security services and adopt new ideas.
