If youre in livermore, heading out this morning, you may see some delays and if youre taking bart, youre also going to see some delays, union city and warm springs where those writers are going to be diverted over to buses because theyre doing maintenance. Theyre walking back and forth looking for evidence, looking to talk to witnesses. Many of those witnesses, of course, were inside the hotel at the time. Let me show you video when this all went down 10, 30 last night when they got a call of a disturbance at the extended stay, america. Thats when they arrived. But those officers had no idea that somebody was going to open fire on them. We understand that this all unfolded on the 3rd floor. They came there according to investigators. The suspect fired shots at the officers. The officers fired shots back. Ultimately 3 people were 2 officers as well as the suspect. Now i got a chance to talk to a woman who was inside at the time. She actually thought she heard fireworks and thought it was a dream. It wasnt. And then all of a sudden about 2 later and bam. And im like, okay, i thought it was my friend or my daughters friend. We now know the name of the man who shot at the 2 San Jose Police officers late last night. He has been identified by police as 33 yearold kevin briones. Now the shooting happened around 10, 30 last night at the extended stay. America hotel on the sand ignacio avenue in the santa teresa neighborhood.
