Habitat trails made by artists Over the past few months when the world has been suffering a global pandemic, Penrith’s indomitable ‘in bloomers’ have come together to work – at a safe distance – on various horticultural and environmentally friendly projects around town. For one of these projects Penrith Town Council have commissioned local artists Jenny Brook and Gemma Webb from Stomping Ground CIC to create eight playful wildlife habitats as part of a trail to follow around Penrith. The hope is to encourage more visits to local green spaces and for visitors to appreciate the native wildlife that might live in their own town centre.
