Storytelling has helped battle the Covid lockdown isolation

A CHARITY that works to provide interactive storytelling sessions to children and older people has continued throughout the pandemic. Truth Be Told, a Poole-based charity, was forced to move online due to Covid-19, but when restrictions have allowed it has delivered storytelling sessions in a number of outside settings. The project usually runs intergenerational storytelling sessions in residential care homes. Megan Fitzgerald, activities coordinator at Regency Manor care home in Poole – one of the homes where Truth Be Told has worked – said: “We have had to cancel all external entertainers, activity providers, trips, visits and events. Our residents would be totally isolated from their wider community if it wasn’t for the Truth Be Told families and Gateway Church who run the project.”
