Acting on behalf of CBRE Global Investors, the Industrial team at CBRE in Leeds alongside joint agents Carter Towler, have secured the letting of a new, speculatively built warehouse to a major retailer at 62 Leeds Industrial Estate. The leading retailer has agreed a deal on Unit 6.
Unit 6 is a new build, detached 57,500 sq ft premium warehouse located on Gelderd Road (A62), one of the main arterial routes into Leeds and the retailer has agreed a 15 year lease at the site.
The warehouse/industrial facility benefits from two storey office accommodation, a secure service yard and 50 car parking spaces. Forming part of the well established 62 Leeds Industrial Estate, Unit 6 occupies an unrivalled location just 0.5 miles from J27 of the M62 motorway with immediate access to the M621 and Leeds City Centre.
His notable assignments include the successful management of the Copenhagen Road Industrial Estate at Suttenfields in Hull, the Copley Hill Trading Estate in Leeds, and Bradford’s Business Centre. More recently, Nick has overseen Towngate’s facilities and utilities management at our new site on Gelderd Road in Leeds.
Throughout his tenure, he has worked tirelessly to establish solid, honest relationships with tenants of all properties within the Towngate portfolio including commercial offices, large industrial sheds, trade counter units, and acres of commercial storage land.
In his retirement, Nick, 66, will be spending more time with his family, and satisfying his love of the great outdoors with an abundance of walks throughout the British Isles.

Heavy rain has led to flooding across Yorkshire, leaving cars stranded, roads closed and rail services disrupted.
Several vehicles became stuck on Long Causeway at Denholme, Bradford, as it was blocked by flood water. Police are advising drivers to avoid the area.
In Cottingley Springs, Leeds, part of Gelderd Road was closed as the River Aire flooded on to the carriageway.
Flooding at Kirkstall Forge railway station led to services being cancelled between Shipley and Leeds.
Operator Northern said disruption was expected until 17:30 GMT, and people should check before they travel.

The proposal is for a new supermarket with an in-store bakery and separate Home Bargains with an associated garden centre, which could create 110 jobs. Lidl has written to local residents for their views on the proposal for the stores on land off Bankwood Way at Birstall Retail Park. The planning application is expected to be submitted in late January 2021 to Kirklees Council for the development.
