The city mayor was questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation in the third wave of arrests linked to Merseyside Police s Operation Aloft. The investigation is the latest to have been launched in response to allegations linked to either Liverpool Council s business activity or the city s development scene.
